2014 Photography Challenge- A Moment in Time (12:00 a.m.)

In 2011, (was it really that long ago?) I participated in a photography challenge with my friends Sarah and Cyrena. In an attempt to use our cameras more and get out and explore, we spent the entire year capturing photos of objects that resembled our assigned Crayola crayon for the week's assignment. By the end of the year we had 52 photos that matched 52 Crayola crayons. It was an incredible way to look at everything around with me a whole new set of eyes. I loved using my Nikon. And I appreciated being more creative and thoughtful with what I was taking pictures of.

We took a couple of years off but decided that we'd get back to it this year. During a conference call at the end of December we brainstormed some good and some not so good ideas before ultimately landing on this year's photography challenge theme: A Moment in Time.

Throughout the year we will be taking a photo at the top of each hour so that by year's end we will have 24 total photos. Each hour of the day will be captured throughout this challenge. And I'm not gonna lie...the first few months of this challenge will be just that, a challenge, as I'm not normally awake past 11:00 p.m.

New Year's Eve gave us the perfect time to kick off this challenge as we start with taking a photo at 12:00 a.m. I had such a fun New Year's Eve with Steve-o, my wombmate (who may be joining in on this challenge) and my friend Penny. Playing games, drinking champagne and toasting to an amazing 2014.

Here's my moment in time at 12:00 a.m.
