Crayola Photo Challenge- Maroon

I really thought a beet I snapped at the Farmer's Market would be the perfect photo for this color, but, I was wrong. It wasn't quite maroon'y enough.

While ABC was visiting (always a great time!), we took a day trip to Pasadena where we had a full day and night of rest and relaxation. Included was a trip to the Huntington Library. And that is where my maroon comes from:

Taken on May 30th in the rose gardens of the Huntington Library.

I like this picture in particular, because I really played up the aperture to create the faded background. Which, as a photographer, is one of my favorite things to fool around with.
