I'm grateful to watch the sun set on another year. And for the end of my 365 gratitude challenge which only proved what I already know: how lucky I am to be surrounded by such beautiful people and places.

I'm grateful for a full day in bed reading, drinking hot chocolate and shaking off this holiday cold.
I'm grateful for friendships that pick up as if no time at all has passed. For easy conversation. For funny memories that bring you right back to some of your happiest moments in life. And I'm grateful for lifetime friendships.
I'm grateful for my friendship with Aimee that's lasted 30ish years, for Tammy, my Cards Against Humanity soul sister, and for meeting Adeline, who has the best outtie belly button and smile and moms.
I'm grateful for a wonderful Christmas from beginning to end. Especially the good times, great food and amazing company at this beautiful table.
I'm grateful my day started with this peaceful stairwalk in the Santa Monica canyon. Also glad I was able to complete the whole thing without biting it.
I'm grateful for this delicious delivery of the best maple syrup all the way from my hometown in New Hampshire courtesy of my friend Dave. Having a piece of home with me during the holidays will make them that much sweeter. Thank you Dave!
I'm grateful I got to see other people's photos of tonight's sunset dubbed by a friend as "the most spectacular sunset I've ever seen" and that Katie didn't hold me totally accountable for napping through it.
I'm grateful I had the patience to wait after the sunset to see this beautiful post-sunset sky.
I'm grateful that the holiday decorating continued into night two and included Katie, Jake & Kerry.
I'm beyond grateful to have been at the Cat Stevens Peace Train Tour. His music has played a large part in my life. And tonight was a magical and moving experience I won't soon forget.
I'm grateful that the mac off has gone on for nine years strong. That it keeps getting bigger and better. And that my friends are so inventive in the kitchen. Congrats to Nick & Caroline/Tommy for sharing the top honors this year!
